Why It's Special

This disc was donated by Vince Gardner, early disc golf promoter who also sold for Lightning and Champion Discs. It set the world record for distance in 1986. It was the first disc to break the 600 foot mark by Aussie Michael Chanci (Dan "Stork" Roddick officiated). Back then, the #2 Hookshot was called the P-38 (hence the stamp)

Disc Information

Lightning claims that the #2 Hookshot is a “very fast, long range driver”. We consider it more of a midrange hooking control disc, because it’s just plain not that fast. The #1 Hookshot can handle strong winds and powerful throws and makes an excellent midrange disc. In lower weights, the #1 Hookshot floats in water.
